The collective experience of the partners and staff encompasses project types that include commercial, institutional, residential, religious, and educational. Included within these are new construction, additions, adaptive re-use, historic preservation, and interior design.
Our architects are problem solvers. We do not design to a particular style or reference. We work on each project specifically for its client, program, and context. We use rhythm, proportion, balance, and scale to achieve visual cohesiveness. This addition of traditional architectural values and concepts gives our projects a rigor in thought and execution that is comprehensible in intent and elegant in reality. We create architecture which responds appropriately to the environment, creating a seamless connection between built and natural form. Enhancing our work is our love of materials, which we use in a straightforward, honest manner.
Our reputation is based on our design skills, clear documentation of great design, and attentive service. We visualize and compose a beautiful built form and compose a clear, well organized set of contract documents. The former makes for the most pleasing forms; the latter provides for projects of the best value. The drawing set is designed and assembled to provide the sub-contractors with the best available opportunity to complete their work successfully.
Our projects, at their least developed and articulated, stand as well-composed, resolved buildings; articulation, detail, and material richness are added as budget appropriate. There is a direct relationship between schedule and budget and the level of project detail and articulation. We are confident in our balancing of articulation and detail with schedule and budget.
It is our philosophy that providing clients with quality facilities in a timely manner at a fair cost is entirely reasonable, absolutely achievable, and results in the best projects. Our approach is to consider budget and schedule as normal components of the project parameters to be identified, agreed to, and worked within.
