Fossett's Restaurant, Keswick Hall
Keswick Hall is a grand old hotel at the foot of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains,
owned by renowned luxury travel company Orient-Express.
When it came time to create a new master plan for the elegant property, Orient-Express
asked Cooper, Robertson & Partners (NYC) to spearhead the project. Included were upgrades
to the atmosphere of the original restaurant and the addition of dedicated conference and
meeting rooms. After much study, the owners and architects decided to find an alternative
location for the new restaurant - Fossett's - and chose a large terrace directly outside
of the main hotel lobby.
The terrace offered expansive views of the Keswick Estate. Train & Partners' design retained
portions of the exterior pergola for al fresco dining. Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows
provide a stunning setting for dining.
