M. Kirk Train, AIA train-mk@trainarchitects.com M.Arch., Yale. Founder, Train & Partners Architects. After graduating from the School of Architecture at Yale University, Kirk Train interned with I. M. Pei & Partners, New York. In 1988, he joined the staff of Cooper Robertson & Partners. He founded Train & Partners Architects in 1990. Mr. Train is currently the Virginia Society American Institute of Architects (VSAIA) Vice President/President Elect. In 2004, the VSAIA awarded Mr. Train its Distinguished Achievement Award. He has been the recipient of many awards for design excellence and commitment to community service.
