After graduating from the School of Architecture at Yale University, Kirk Train interned with I. M. Pei & Partners, New York. In 1988, he joined the staff of Cooper Robertson & Partners. He founded Train & Partners Architects in 1990. Mr. Train is currently the Virginia Society American Institute of Architects (VSAIA) President. In 2004, the VSAIA awarded Mr. Train its Distinguished Achievement Award. He has been the recipient of many awards for design excellence and commitment to community service.
